Jimmy Mickle just accomplished what no other human has ever done in the sport of ultimate frisbee. In 2014, he won a College Championship with the University of Colorado (Mamabird), won the Callahan Award for the best player in college, and then won a Club Championship with Colorado’s Johnny Bravo. With numerous accolades and accomplishments almost too long to list, Jimmy is certainly one of the best players on the ultimate stage right now, and has been for several years.
Jimmy will be an instant difference maker for the San Diego Growlers on offense as a lethal cutter and thrower. At 6’3”, he is a natural talent in the air when going up high for the disc and will be a nightmare matchup for other teams. Maybe even more important than his physical prowess is his leadership, spirit, competitive fire, and genuine love for the sport. Jimmy will be sure to wow the crowd as the San Diego Growlers compete for an AUDL title in 2015.
Jimmy currently lives in Golden, CO and is an engineer at a renewable energy company.
